MC lines — the planet on the Midheaven

The MC (Medium Coeli, “middle of the sky”) is where a planet stood highest above the horizon at the moment of your birth. On the map, MC lines are straight vertical lines running north to south along a meridian.

MC lines are about what the world sees: your career, reputation, status and public role. Near them, your work and the way people perceive you come through more strongly. A good MC line helps you get recognized and grow professionally; a difficult one makes your career slower or more strained.

An MC line works at a distance too: clients, employers and audiences from that region often respond better, even if you live somewhere else.
